PRO DIVE TUSA 4 DAY DIVE COURSE DAY TRIPS
If you don't have the time to do a 5 day course or would prefer a land based
Learn to Dive course then this course is the ideal option for you.
Day 1 and 2 are spent at our modern, purpose built training centre learning
the theory and underwater skills of diving.
Days 3 and 4 are spent on one of TUSA Dives fast and modern day boats where
you'll complete the 4 training dives required for your PADI Open Water
certification. You'll return to your accommodation in Cairns each evening.
NOTE - You will have a different dive instructor for the 2 days of diving on
the boat from the one you had in the pool.
Courses Commence
- English - Every day except Sunday
- Japanese - Thursday
Inclusions - On Land
- 2 x passport photos needed for certification
- All stationary requirements.
- PADI Open Water Certificate
- Accommodation transfers daily (city and Northern Beaches)
- All dive equipment
- Prescription mask (if required)
- PADI Open Water Manual.
Inclusions - At Sea
- 2 Days of diving (4 dives) on the Great Barrier Reef
- Buffet lunch and snacks
- All dive equipment (including Dive Computer)
- Prescription mask (if required)
- Log Book
Extras
- Compulsory Dive Medical: A dive medical in accordance with AS
(Australian Standard) 4005.1 is required to learn to dive in Queensland. We
recommend that people complete this medical prior to commencing their dive
course but if that isn’t possible it can arranged by us on Day 1 of the dive
course for a cost of AU$55.00 (payable direct to the doctor). Please note - Some
medical conditions will prevent you from diving. Some of the more common
conditions are Asthma, Diabetes, Epilepsy and heart or lung conditions.
Pregnancy is also a contraindication to diving. Some other medical conditions
may also be a problem. If you are unsure about any specific condition please

- Camera Hire: Digital underwater camera's are available for hire on
board our dive boats for a cost of A$35 per dive.
Important Information
- The minimum age to learn to dive in Queensland is 12. There is no maximum
age.
- It is a dive course requirement that you be able to swim 200 metres or
snorkel 300 metres and tread water/float for 10 minutes.
- We recommend that you do not fly within 24 hours of diving. This means that
the earliest you should fly is 12 pm (midday) on the day after your dive course
concludes
